Jaclyn Mata
Paralegal
Jaclyn is a first-generation college graduate with a degree in Criminology and a strong passion for advocacy, justice, and helping others navigate challenging circumstances. Her career began in the criminal justice field, where she worked in criminal justice reform and case management with parolees, supporting individuals as they reintegrated into their communities and worked toward long-term stability.
A few years ago, she transitioned into the legal field as a paralegal, allowing her to continue serving others through meaningful legal support and client advocacy. She is deeply motivated by work that creates access, support, and positive outcomes for people in need.
Outside of work, Jaclyn enjoys pottery—especially wheel throwing—playing tennis after work, and spending time walking with her dog, Juni. She is also an avid fan of the TV show Survivor, and one of her biggest bucket list goals is to one day compete as a contestant herself.
