Melody Carper

Paralegal

Melody Carper is a pioneer paralegal of Beam Legal Team with a tenure that expanded from 1986 to 2002. She played a key role in Beam Legal Team’s first multi-million verdict of $26 million for Ryan Taylor in Washington, Pennsylvania. After sixteen years of service, she made the difficult decision to leave and pursue insurance defense litigation for companies such as Zurich North America Insurance Company. Melody Carper now returns bringing 30 plus years of civil litigation experience to Beam Legal Team with a perspective and ability to understand any given case from both the plaintiff and defense side. She has expertise in the management of complex and convoluted cases.

Melody Carper is a sixth-generation native of Colorado with a lineage dating back to early mountain men (Simeon Turley) on her great-grandmother’s side and Spanish descent (Juan Ponce de Leon) on her great-grandfather’s side. In her spare time, she enjoys golfing, hiking, bowling, and skydiving. She also has a passion for community involvement and served on the City of Thornton’s quasi-judicial liquor board for 16 years. When possible, she volunteers in building affordable housing in partnership with Habitat for Humanity.

Lastly, Melody Carper is a devoted mother to her accomplished daughter Alena, who also serves as her best friend.
