A true pioneer at Beam Legal Team, Melody originally served the firm from 1986 to 2002, where she crucially contributed to a landmark $26 million verdict involving a baby who suffered hypoglycemic brain damage in Washington, Pennsylvania. To expand her expertise, she later spent years handling high-level insurance defense cases for Zurich North America.  

Since then, Melody has returned to Beam Legal Team and has presently accumulated more than 40 years of civil litigation experience. Her rare ability to view cases from both sides makes her a master at managing highly complex litigation.   

Throughout her career, Melody has successfully played an integral role in obtaining record medical malpractice verdicts of $31.6 million in Midland, Michigan for an infant who suffered hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE), wherein fetal monitor strips confirmed distress and the need for an emergency C-section due to Pitocin-driven excessive uterine activity.  She additionally aided in a $10.2 million recovery in Racine County, Wisconsin for a mother who was negligently administered an overdose of Pitocin during labor. The error resulted in fetal HIE, causing the child to develop severe cerebral palsy and permanent, lifelong brain damage.
