Red Nose Day is an annual fundraiser brought by Comic Relief, Inc., a charitable foundation dedicated to ending child hunger and poverty right here in America. May 24th marked Red Nose Day this year, and Beam Legal Team, LLC was proud to havev a chance to participate and make a difference for the people of Chicago. We worked with the Greater Chicago Food Depository to show our support and help spread awareness of the campaign’s goal to end hunger in Cook County.

The Greater Chicago Food Depository (GCFD) is the hub for all things related to food donations in Cook County. In 2017 alone, the GCFD was able to distribute 25 million pounds of fresh fruit and vegetables and another 46 million pounds of other food items to the hungry families in our communities. When everything is considered, about 16% of Cook County residents cannot afford to feed themselves regularly, and about 25% of those people are children. The GCFD is instrumental in helping bring good meals to their tables throughout the year.

Beam Legal Team and our birth injury attorneys were excited to participate in Red Nose Day and make a positive difference in our communities. We want to thank the Greater Chicago Food Depository for working with us and doing all the great things it does year-round. We must also show appreciation for Comic Relief Inc., organizers of the Red Nose Day campaign, and, of course, people like you who donate, volunteer, and spread awareness of the charitable efforts.
