As supporters of Misericordia Heart of Mercy, Beam Legal Team proudly sponsored the 36th annual Misericordia Family Fest on September 11, 2016. Misericordia provides
a community for individuals with mild, moderate, and profound developmental
disabilities – many of whom have physical challenges, too. Committed to
helping the community’s most vulnerable citizens, Misericordia is
dedicated to meeting the unique needs of every person it serves.
As the largest fundraising effort put on by Misericordia every year, Family
Fest is an opportunity for everyone to support Misericordia residents
and their loved ones. This year’s festival featured games, art,
boutiques, Bingo, food, drinks, raffles (including a quilt raffle and
car raffle), and more.
Through the continued support of its sponsors, Misericordia is able to
serve more than 600 adults and children on its 31-acre campus in Chicago.
In the past year, Misericordia has introduced a new Adult Enrichment Program
for persons between the ages of 22 and 30 with developmental disabilities.
The program will include educational opportunities, recreation, social
activities, and more. Additionally, Misericordia added Quinlan Terrace,
a collection of homes that provide care for aging Misericordia residents,
to its growing list of accomplishments.
